America’s First Direct Vision Rating System

Most commercial trucks operating in urban areas have large blind zones that create dangerous conditions for pedestrians, cyclists, and small children. In partnership with Together for Safer Roads, we created the first American Direct Vision Rating System to rate the safety of commercial trucks.

Facilitating Cross-Team Collaboration

The Bernard van Leer Foundation’s global team is distributed across 13 countries, creating unique organizational challenges that required creative solutions. We facilitated a series of workshops aimed at breaking down silos and improving communication.

Human-Centered Business Permitting

Entrepreneurs struggled to complete the 70+ forms required to open a business in Detroit and navigate the permitting process. In partnership with the City of Detroit and a group of new business owners, we co-created a simplified process that cut wait times and paperwork in half.
